SaaS Rent Bill Privacy Policy

SaaS Rent Bill detects which SaaS websites you visit and estimates software “rent” using a bundled price catalog and the team size you enter. All core processing happens on your device. We do not operate a backend that receives your browsing data.

• Matched SaaS tool IDs, visit counts, and active days
• Tools you manually remove or override
• Install timestamp, bill notification state, and cancel Keep / Cut / Snooze decisions

This data is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer.

• Tabs: to read page URLs for local domain matching
• History: to optionally scan recent history against the local SaaS catalog (backfill). History contents are not transmitted
• Storage: to persist the data above
• Alarms / Notifications: to remind you when your Rent Bill or Friday board pack is ready
• Scripting + optional site access: only when you enable the live rent chip on SaaS pages

• We do not upload browsing history, URLs, or visit logs
• We do not sell or share personal browsing data
• We do not require an account to use the core product

When you click Ask Claude, the extension may send an anonymized stack summary to arosplatforms (/api/saas-rent-bill/audit), which calls Anthropic Claude using arosplatforms’ API key. That payload includes tool IDs, categories, status, and bucketed spend estimates. It does not include browsing history, full URLs, or page contents.

Advanced users may optionally paste their own Anthropic API key (stored only in local extension storage) or point at a custom HTTPS endpoint. You can turn off the aros proxy in Settings.

If you click “See how” or “Get my free stack audit,” your browser opens pages on arosplatforms.com. Those pages are governed by the main site Privacy Policy.

Any email or form you submit there (including the free stack audit form) is emailed to hello@arosplatforms.com for the sales/marketing follow-up you requested. You also receive a confirmation email.

Cost figures are estimates based on publicly listed SaaS pricing and your stated team size. They are not billing data from vendors.

Uninstalling the extension deletes local extension storage. You can also remove individual tools from the report at any time. Form submissions retained for follow-up are handled under the main site Privacy Policy.

The extension is intended for business use by adults.

We may update this policy when the extension changes. Material changes will be reflected in the Chrome Web Store listing and this page.
